             Well  Being

Shirley Damberger, RMT, CTT, FST

With a commitment to identifying and treating root causes, my work has focused on helping clients recover from surgery, increase range of motion, improve postural integrity, reduce pain and promote overall well being.

My formal training was at Mount Royal University and I continuously upgrade my skills through education and research designed to provide the very best care to my clients.

I am proud to also share this knowledge and experience as a passionate, award winning instructor.  I have taught thousands of massage and physio therapists in various courses such as Osteology, Myology and Arthrology, Gross Anatomy, and Oncology Massage with organizations such as the University of Alberta - Department of Medicine, Foothills Hospital, MaKami College and Seminars for Health.

How can we help you?

Maria Mella, RRT

I studied at the Canadian Training Centre for Healing Alternatives and the Academy of Reflexology and Massage. I have been a certified practitioner since 2015 in the modalities of Reflexology, Indian Head Massage (Champissage), Healing Hand Massage and Ion Cleanse Foot Detox.

I am also a Professional Pedicurist with a love of making people feel better from the ground up, and specialize in providing foot care for seniors.

I am thrilled to be offering my Tranquil Moments by Maria services and products at the HOM of Well Being.

As per current directives (May 4, 2021) from Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), we are excited to announce that ALL of our services including pedicure, reflexology and massage remain open at this time, by appointment (as always).

(No referral required!)

The retail portion of our shop is also open with a reduced capacity.

Why are we still open?

Our health care system is struggling to meet the demands on it currently.  The number 2 and 3 reasons people make a visit to their doctor is for issues with back and joint pain.  Massage therapy plays a vital role in taking pressure off our system by providing treatments to reduce pain and increase mobility.

We care about our patients and we care about our community.

We are following strict sanitation and safety protocols to protect your health, and also have private shopping, curbside pick up and delivery options available.

We look forward to serving you!

Now more than ever, it is crucial to cultivate inner resources of safety, strength and connection.

By doing so, we can stay present when fear or anxiety arises and meet the situation with courage, intelligence, care and compassion.

This deeply healing treatment leads the client through a guided yoga nidra meditation that coincides with the rhythmic movements of the massage therapist.

Whether you are experienced at meditation or would like to use this as a stepping stone, you will find it deeply relaxing and restorative.
